We chase the tenuous atmospheres — exospheres — of active moons and exoplanets, and the physics of how gas escapes across planet–satellite systems. From the volcanic plumes of Io and the sputtered, radiation-worn surfaces of Europa and the Galilean moons, to the sodium and potassium signatures betraying close-in exoplanets, we trace how mass, plasma, and light couple between worlds — escaping atmospheres, tidal and volcanic venting, exomoons, and the fundamental problems that decide where planets and moons stay habitable.
